I just want to say a huge thank you for stepping in and defending me - it was getting a bit chilly out there!

I knew I had picked a 'hot topic' so I was aware it may have some reaction. I am open to other perspectives but sometimes people can be very intense and aggressive. I guess it's not what you say but the way that you say it. (And I don't like confrontation!)

I didn't want to say too much on my blog as it didn't feel appropriate. But thought I'd leave you a proper thank you message here (on your very stylish blog!)

    Love and energy...xx

  2. Hey, I went through the same stuff just because of the title of my blog, and spend several days and (sleepless) nights sorting through what the "moral" thing to do was.
Have you ever read "What Katy Did" by Susan Coolidge? A good friend of my mother's sent it to me in the post when I got my diagnosis, and even though it's not exactly an Adult read, it is chock full of lessons on "How to be Sick". It's a book on how unnecessary it is to make huge plans on groundbreaking projects, and about how relatively easy it is to change the world around you when you are confined to your bedroom. It has become something of a manual for me and can easily translate into more modern and adult solutions. No amount of crusading can ever compare to the little things you can do (for yourself and others) in the here and now, and I think you've mastered that principle perfectly.
Lots of love and energy to you too xxx
